👉I went to Cocosh every other day. I was never sure if I would have a schedule for the following week and how many hours I would be able to work that week. It was worrying because it was my only way to make money. I was saving on just about everything. When I got the opportunity to take on a cleaning job, I didn’t hesitate to go to houses. I was making money on one cleaning, which usually took me about 3 hours, as much as they sit all day in the store. It gave me food for thought. Since then I started to look at my life differently and what I want to do in the future….. You think, cleaning?! No, to earn money by working at my place and for myself, to collect contacts and make relationships with people, and to build something of my own in small steps. I didn’t know what it would be, but I kept working.
👉I returned late to the apartment. When I got back I always took a moment to talk to the kids and Agnes. It lasted about two months. Time flew by very quickly. At work at Cocosh it was ok, but sometimes when I worked at the other store it was much more interesting and fun. I remember one time when I was alone in the whole store. Solmaz went to the restroom and I had to keep an eye on two lounges. The problem wasn’t that I was alone, but that it often happened that people came into the store in bulk. We could never predict when there would be a storm and yet we had to keep an eye out for people stealing. Thefts were frequent, but we were able to see who was stealing and how they were doing.
👉That day it was me, Naz, and Solmaz in the store. Naz went to eat lunch, Solmaz sat in the jewelry store and I was left upstairs alone…
😎Many things that happened during my trip played a very important role for the future. Sometimes by provoking situations I learned more in practice than just telling stories. This journey, which took place when I was 22 years old, has taken me far in my personal development. These experiences changed my mindset and allowed me to direct my life differently than my friends.

👉Zawsze lubiłam oglądać biografie ludzi, którzy osiągnęli w swoim życiu sukces. Zastanawiało mnie to w jaki sposób do tego doszli oraz co wpłynęło na to, że tak się im poszczęściło.
Odpowiedzi można doszukiwać się wiele. Każdy z nas może mieć swoją interpretację. Wiem jednak, że każda z tych osób musiała popełnić bardzo dużo błędów na swojej drodze, głównie po to by na nich się uczyć i stawać się lepszą wersją samego siebie.🧐
Można to trochę porównać do nauki chodzenia. Gdy nas uczono chodzić upadaliśmy, po czym wstawaliśmy i tak do skutku. Nie pamiętamy tego procesu, jednak gdyby nie liczne upadki, nie potrafilibyśmy chodzić… coś w tym jest… Jak myślisz? 🙃
😥The overwhelm of some things leads us to become disconnected with ourselves. When you notice in yourself that something is not going in the direction you previously thought, take a breath!
👉Determination is important in achieving your goals, but nothing by force. When you start to feel tired with a project you’re working on, step away from it for a while to let in some fresh air.

😥Natłok niektórych spraw prowadzi do rozstrojenia nas samych. Gdy zauważysz u siebie, że coś zmierza nie w tym kierunku, o którym wcześniej myślałeś, odetchnij!
👉Determinacja jest ważna w osiąganiu swoich celów, jednak nic na siłę. Gdy zaczynasz odczuwać zmęczenie przy realizowanym projekcie, odsuń się na chwilę od niego po to by dopuścić do siebie trochę świeżego powietrza.
🙃Zajmij się czym innym a następnie wróć ze spokojną głową do tematu. Powinno zadziałać! Powodzenia.

👉When I arrived in London it was July. I had just finished school and I really wanted to take a break from studying. So my main idea was to go abroad and earn money. I wanted to take a breather. When I came to London I didn’t have a plan what would happen next. My main goal was to find a job quickly, that was my goal.
I wrote about my beginnings a few weeks ago. Today I would like to describe the situation in the house where I stayed.
Agnes lived with her two little children. She was divorced. The apartment was quite big. One big living room, kitchen, two rooms upstairs and a small bathroom. At first I thought I would stay for one night, I didn’t expect to stay there for long. The news that I managed to find a job on the first day I arrived in London was amazing. I believe in the law of attraction and lately, I have been focusing even more on self-development. I believe that if we have expectations of reality, we will never be happy in it, that’s why we don’t have fulfillment and happiness. So the more I started to look at myself and what I wanted, the more I noticed a tendency of people pulling away from me. Others appeared in their place.
The first day I came back to the apartment, I told her how my day went looking for a job. She was shocked herself. I remember her words to this day… “people come here and look for work for months and you found it right away” I appreciated that. I think I was really lucky. Over dinner, I offered to pay her room rent if she wanted while I found something else….

👉Naz, a girl a year younger than me, came from Bulgaria. She was cheerful but also very moody. When she had a better day it was immediately visible, and when she didn’t like someone she was also very moody. What can I say, our characters clashed with each other. In the beginning, we didn’t get along at all. We met during one of the first weekends of work at Cocosh. The busiest days. There always had to be a full line of people in the stores then. The second store was quite big, long, and relatively darker than Cocosh. In the jewelry store, there were Kate and Solmaz together.
Today when I recall that job – it was hard. It may seem that you mainly stand and serve people. Indeed it is so, but standing 12 hours a day at some point you feel tired. We were at full speed all the time. This had its good and bad sides, when there were customers we actually had our hands full with work, time went by much faster, but when it was empty then we took care of the salon. We checked the goods, replenished them, and only then we had a moment to eat something or sit down and relax.
We got to know each other better every day. Although the work was apparently easy, today I can see the advantages of what I learned there. I am grateful for the lessons I learned and, of course, the conclusions. I met a lot of people there, who welcomed me well and, looking back, this job also toughened me a lot.

😊When I write down all the events I start to think about different issues…. I think that sometimes it is good to go back to the past and see what decisions we made back then. We can pay attention to some aspects in a more objective way.
👉Not once do you hear… “I think I would do things differently today” well…. it is not worth looking at your life in the context of change. Back then we were at a different stage and such decisions were written for us…. Today, wiser by experience, we make decisions whose effects will also be observed in retrospect after another 10 years of life.

😊Spisująć wszystkie wydarzenia zaczynam zastanawiać się nad różnymi kwestiami…. myślę, że czasami powrót do przeszłości a właściwie do tego jakie wtedy podejmowaliśmy decyzje jest dobry. Możemy zwrócić uwagę na niektóre aspekty w bardziej obiektywny sposób.
👉Nie raz słyszysz… ” myślę, że dzisiaj zrobiłabym inaczej” otóż…. nie warto patrzeć na swoje życie w kontekście zmian. Wtedy byliśmy na innym etapie i takie decyzje były nam pisane…. dzisiaj mądrzejsi o doświadczenia podejmujemy decyzje, których efekty będziemy obserować również z perspektywy czasu po kolejnych 10 latach życia.
🧐Dzisiaj wieczorem opowiem o kolejnych kilku rzeczach jakie miały miejsce. Nie zawsze jest to pełne ekscytacji i euforii, jednak cieszę się, że decyzje jakie podejmowałam w tamtym czasie były moimi własnymi a nie pod presją innych ludzi. Może dlatego, zawsze troche się różniłam….

Today, I’d like to go one step further and tell you a story that took place the next day. That week, I didn’t meet all the people who just worked at Cocosh. Serpil was one of the first. A few weeks ago, I mentioned Solmaz, and now it was time for more people. Ozgie had two stores, the second store was on the corner of the same Notting Hill Gate street but a piece further away. Both one and the other sold clothing, shoes, handbags and more t-shirts. The other part of the store was primarily jewelry with a distinctive Turkish style. Working on the first day in Cocosh of course I did not get to know the whole team but when the weekend came everyone was there. Then we started to get to know each other better.
Let us stop here for a moment and while working on the weekend in the second store I met Kate. She was born in Hungary, but she emigrated to the UK a few years ago and stayed here permanently. How can I describe her, she’s tall and slim, with long blonde hair, which she always had in a bun when she let it down to her waist. Blue eyes, delicately highlighted with mascara, narrow lips, which she liked to paint with bright pink lipstick, slim face.
I liked talking to her. She worked together with Solmaz in a jewelry store. Today I can describe her as an individualist. Everything she talked about made sense, so I always listened to her with interest. Of course there were situations, where I didn’t know what she was talking about, but with a closer look at her and interpreting her way of being, she became memorable. Very interligent person with the soul of an artist.
One day when we were working together she told me her story. When we met Kate was very distant. I remember vividly that every time I tried to make contact, I sensed that she was not the type of person who would want to open up to others right away. She was watching………..

👉There were two of us in the store that day. The room was very small. In the corner was a fitting room with a dark maroon curtain. Serpil was very aloof, hard-headed, elegant, and taking care of herself at every step. She kept everyone out of her life and you could feel it in her manner. We worked together most often. I met her first. How I remember her… A Turkish girl with medium length, light blonde hair, and bright blue eyes.
Serpil was very firm and hid a lot of emotions. Our characters clashed a bit. During the whole day of work in the store, I learned the basics such as how to serve customers, make sales, attract customers, etc. and of course, I gained experience. There were a lot of people of different nationalities in the store that day. I had the opportunity to test my language skills. I was learning Spanish on my own so it was a good moment to test myself.
An interesting phenomenon was the hours when people came to the store. At some point, the whole store was full. People would appear out of nowhere. Then you had to be very careful and watch out not to get robbed. After this storm of crowds, the store would quiet down momentarily. The salon was completely empty and then we had a moment to talk to each other in peace and get to know each other better. After all, it is nice to know something about the person with whom you work. Besides, we had a moment of rest and could take care of our own things. It was the moment when Serpil opened up a little bit and talked about herself. She spoke very little, was very critical about her thoughts and often discredited other people’s opinions. Sometimes her friend Sevda visited us. The three of us would talk about various topics.
We started each day similarly, with coffee at Starbucks, checking the clothing inventory at the store, hanging the store display, and so on.

😉As I mentioned … today I want to tell you about another girl from our team. It is Serpil.
But before I describe Serpil, let’s get back to Agnieszka and her two children.
I finished work at 21:00, so it was already late. Every hour before the store closed, we would get together to clean. On the first day, Solmaz did the daily profit counting. She explained to me what to do and how. Nevertheless, a long time elapsed before I was allowed to permanently checkout. The beginnings of a novice … 🤭
Every evening, I entered a small Turkish restaurant to buy food for home. The two Turks had their own store right between the vinyl store and Starbucks. They made delicious food. ” Returning to the apartment, Solmaz showed this place as well. I bought a spinach tart and it stayed that way until the end of my stay in England. Heading towards the subway, we said goodbye.
🙃 After returning to the apartment, I told Agnieszka how it was at work, what I was doing, and what was the atmosphere like. We sat in the kitchen and had dinner together. Seeing that I would make a living in this job, I offered her to rent a room with her and, of course, to pay for it. We set an amount of £ 70 per week. It was a small amount, so at the beginning, I was very happy that everything is slowly starting to fall into place. The kids were also very nice and polite towards me.
The next morning, I got ready to go to work, of course, I bought a coffee at Starbucks before work and then went to the store with the girls. At that time, I didn’t meet the whole team yet.
On the second day, I worked at Cocosh. We were two in this shop and Serpil. 🙂

🙃Pamiętam jak zaczynałam kilkukrotnie swoje projekty i prawda jest taka, że dzisiaj widzę, że nie był to stracony czas. Polecam ci podjąć wyzwanie i realizować swoje plany ponieważ pomimo, że nie może nie osiągniesz od razu zamierzonego sukcesu, to masz dużą szansę, że zawsze się czegoś nauczysz.
⏳Czas i tak upłynie, pamiętaj, że go nie cofniesz natomiast masz wpływ na to jak go wykorzystasz. Wykorzystuj go dobrze… także do przodu 😉
