😉As I mentioned … today I want to tell you about another girl from our team. It is Serpil.
But before I describe Serpil, let’s get back to Agnieszka and her two children.
I finished work at 21:00, so it was already late. Every hour before the store closed, we would get together to clean. On the first day, Solmaz did the daily profit counting. She explained to me what to do and how. Nevertheless, a long time elapsed before I was allowed to permanently checkout. The beginnings of a novice … 🤭
Every evening, I entered a small Turkish restaurant to buy food for home. The two Turks had their own store right between the vinyl store and Starbucks. They made delicious food. ” Returning to the apartment, Solmaz showed this place as well. I bought a spinach tart and it stayed that way until the end of my stay in England. Heading towards the subway, we said goodbye.
🙃 After returning to the apartment, I told Agnieszka how it was at work, what I was doing, and what was the atmosphere like. We sat in the kitchen and had dinner together. Seeing that I would make a living in this job, I offered her to rent a room with her and, of course, to pay for it. We set an amount of £ 70 per week. It was a small amount, so at the beginning, I was very happy that everything is slowly starting to fall into place. The kids were also very nice and polite towards me.
The next morning, I got ready to go to work, of course, I bought a coffee at Starbucks before work and then went to the store with the girls. At that time, I didn’t meet the whole team yet.
On the second day, I worked at Cocosh. We were two in this shop and Serpil. 🙂

We worked in one company, in two places. For the first few days, I worked in Cocosh Pastel Pink, then moved to the second store. One was selling jewelry and accessories, the other also selling dresses and T-shirts. The latter was more extensive.
🤲 Every morning, we opened metal blinds, which were always rolled up after the workday was over. There were rails above the window, on which we hung 👗 dresses, T-shirts, handbags, etc. on hangers. Generally, it was such an exhibition outside. We arranged an exhibition in the window, preparing a new exhibition. It usually always stood for about a week.
Several hundred people visited the site every day. Nothing Hill Gate is mainly famous for the blue doors from the movie with Julia Roberds and Hugh Grant. People who entered the store very often asked about the door … unfortunately, they are not there. ☝ A pity, because it is a nice souvenir and tourist spot. Nothing Hill is also famous for its carnival. I found out about the latter by accident. 🙃
Each of the girls was different, but they all got along very well. There was no quarrel, no jealousy, no envy … we all stuck together. 😉I remember that on my first day of work in the second store, Solmaz was working next door. An amazing woman … until today, when I think about her, I have a smile on my face. She had beautiful long wine-colored hair. Always perfectly made makeup. Originally dressed and on her hands, she had a lot of rings – from the store, of course. She always said it was advertising for the store. I don’t remember a day when she was dead or depressed…

😉These are just a few of the works. There were many more of them, and maybe that’s why Ozgie got interested. As I have already mentioned, I was left completely alone in the store. There was no other employee, so every person who entered the store was served by me. The room was small. 🙃T-shirts and dresses hung double-breasted. Dresses up, shirts at the bottom and sometimes some kind of cardigan appeared. The job was fun. Due to the fact that I spoke and speak fluent English, I had no problem making contact with the client. But when I was alone, I knew that I was completely on my own, so I set to work. A lot of people had passed by during Ozgie’s absence. In the meantime, one of the girls came with goods from another store. 😊 I had no idea who she was, but when we started talking to each other, it didn’t take long to guess. It was Sevda. One of the employees from the other store. But at the time, I didn’t know there were two Cocoshes.
🙂 After two hours, Ozgie returned to the store. I told her what and how, whether I managed to sell something or not. I stayed at work for 3 hours and then she let me go. After I left the store, I went to McDonalds. I bought coffee and fries, sat down at the table and started to wonder what would happen next. A moment later, I got the message that I was employed.

🙃 A short reminder of what I wrote about last week …
“[…] At one point I got a text message. 😁 It was a message from that store – from Ozge. She asked me if I would like to come for a trial day on Monday. Of course, I agreed!”
After the received message, I didn’t stop there looking for a job. I got on the subway and went on handing out my CV. 🤗 When I found out that they were interested in me, I immediately wrote a message to Agnieszka – the one with whom I was temporarily living. She was as surprised as I was that I was able to get a job in such a short time. 🙂
🙃 The next day, I got up early, brushed my teeth, embraced myself, and headed towards Nothing Hill Gate. McDonalds was / is not far from my place of work. I bought a coffee and then went to the store. His name was Cocosh. The façade of the shop was pink and you had to climb the stairs to get inside. I was supposed to be at 9:00 ⏰.
They mainly sold clothing and accessories there. Vintage design and the first thing that caught my eye was Amy Winehouse, whose image was on almost every wallet. 😉 It was the time of One Direction, so their likenesses could also be found on T-shirts or, like Amy, on all notebooks.
In addition, a lot of beautiful dresses, very good quality – I even have one at home today! 😋 A small fitting room, closed with a heavy, maroon curtain set in the corner of the room.
When I arrived at the store, only Ozgie was there. We talked a bit and then she decided that she would go out for a few minutes to do her business. I was completely alone in the store 🤭

😉 Z upływem lat zapominamy wiele szczegółów. Moje życie od przynajmniej 2009 roku przebiegało w nieco chaotyczny sposób. Jednak ciekawe było to, że pomimo podjętych przeze mnie decyzji nabierałam nietuzinkowe doświadczenie 🤓 dzięki, któremu
hartowałam swój charakter. Rozwiązywałam problemy samodzielnie a przy tym parłam dalej do przodu.
👉 Anglia- o której pisze od kilku tygodni – jest początkiem wszystkich przygód…. Tak więc zapraszamwas serdecznie już dzisiaj wieczorem na kolejną część
