😁 Tonight, you will have another piece of my story read. I honestly admit that the more I dig into the past with my memory, the more details I get.
I had planned to write it all down a long time ago, but I was never persistent enough in my plan.
👉 This time, I’ll keep pace and everything’s a nice bonus. Yes, well more, please come to 6.30 pm!
😁 Dzisiaj wieczorem, będziecie mieli okazję przeczytać kolejny fragment mojej historii. Przyznam szczerze, że im bardzie zagłębiam się pamięcią w przeszłość, tym coraz więcej szczegółów pamiętam.
Miałam już w planach spisać to wszystko dosyć dawno jednak, nigdy nie byłam wystarczająco wytrwała w swoim planie.
👉 Tym razem, dotrzymam kroku i wszystko ładnie opiszę. Tak więc, cóż więcej, zapraszam na 18.30!
😉 Time for the next part of the story …
👉 When we got out of the car, Wojtek took out my heavy, red suitcase and then we headed upstairs.
There were a lot of stairs, and the bag was getting heavier with each step. Nevertheless, we carried the suitcase up and Agnieszka opened the door for us. She had two young children.
At first she was scared, confused by the whole situation and I must honestly admit that I took over her emotions. Wojtek, however, did not feel it. Guys handle this differently
We went in, we talked, told the whole story and we agreed that I would stay for at least one night and go look for a job in the morning.
I arrived on Saturday and started looking for a job on Sunday.
When I went to bed on Saturday, I talked to Agnieszka for a few more minutes, it was nice to talk. Her children also received me very positively.
I went to sleep, fell asleep right away, and in the morning I decided to take the subway and start looking for work.
😉 The next day I got up early, I wanted to leave right away, to get to the city quickly. I ate breakfast with Agnieszka and the kids when I wanted to go out, she told me that it was too early and that on Sundays the shops didn’t open until around 9:00.
👉 After all, I left much earlier. My first point was Nothing Hill Gate – I think it is thanks to the movie with Hugh Grant and Julia Roberds.
I took my portfolio with me, or rather my album with the works that I managed to build during my studies – I still have them today.
I decided to go to every store. At Nothing Hill Gate, at one time, there were only clothing stores 🙃. I would go to everyone and ask if they needed an employee. Most of the time, I got a negative answer, but I went to one where I accidentally found the owner herself. I didn’t know about it then…

🤔 As you know, my last story ended at the point where I had to take action on accommodation. After unfortunately I couldn’t count on help from the church and I’ve seen virtually nowhere else to go for such help… I decided to look for the priest himself in the church. Since the nun denied me, it might be worth going to the priest himself, who may be able to remedy after all.
I remember going down to the cafeteria. It was downstairs. I had to take the stairs. By the way, the stairs were made of a beautiful oak color, covered in brown color. I remember them like today. Once I got down to the cafeteria, I first approached the lady who was banging behind the counter. I asked myself where to find a priest and of course, I briefly presented my situation to her. Unfortunately, without much results. On the side, people looked at it.
What I always wondered 🤔… is that people are terribly distrustful. They don’t help when they can, and then when it’s done, they say if they could, they would help. Nonsense… there is an opportunity to help and prove yourself, you go and help, without counting on anything in return.
There were three people sitting on the opposite side of the canteen. Two women and one man. I approached them and we started talking. Surprisingly, the conversation went very naturally, calmly, we even joked with each other. The man’s name was Wojtek, I remember him precisely because he turned out to be a very nice and open person to help. Tall dark blonde. To this day, I am grateful that he showed such an approach to the case. Why else did I remember Wojtek’s name and the rest didn’t ‘ t… because at some point a mouse appeared in this cafeteria 😱…

Wednesday has arrived and with it another part of my story…
🙃 Looking around, outside, I saw a lot of beautiful houses, apparently, we were slowly approaching London. I didn’t talk to anyone at that moment, because everyone was waiting for us to leave the bus after such a long journey. At some point, we drove past the church. The first thought that came to my mind then, and today I am able to remember it exactly, was – I will go to the Polish church to stay overnight. It was still bright when we drove into London, but it quickly got dark. It was important for me to get organized quickly and find a place to stay. I hit Ealing Broadway. People who know the London topography know that this is a district that is actually inhabited by Poles.
So, I took my heavy big red suitcase 🎒 and got on the suburban bus that was driving that way.
I didn’t care much about how things would work out. I was just driving and doing everything my gut told me to do. When I got there, I started looking around for the Polish church. It wasn’t hard because the stop where I got off was close. Crossed the street and headed that way. It started to get dark. I went inside looking for a priest I wanted to talk to and present the whole situation. 😉
You’ll think 🤔… crazy person, not enough that she went to a foreign country without guarantee of residence and work, now she’s going and asking for help…

🙃 I started my adventure with adventure, right after the description of my studies. Well. The plan changed partially overnight. Nevertheless, I decided to go.
I got on the bus in Poznań. All passengers were asleep. I sat down in my seat. There was a boy next to me, about 34 years old. He had a window seat, so I envied him a bit because, on such a long route, it’s always good to have a good night’s sleep. 🥱
I mostly sleep on the whole trip. Here the situation was a bit different. I put the headphones in my ears and listened to mp3 all the way …. Yes, mp3 to be exact! 😜 All our way, we didn’t talk to this boy at all. Today, it’s hard for me to remember what he looked like. But when we got to the English Channel, where we had to take the ferry to England … we finally started talking to each other. We got off the bus, tired, and went up the stairs to the cafe on the ferry.😊
He offered me a coffee and a cake to relax the atmosphere. We started talking to each other. His name was Max. I told him a story, that award you might have read about a few posts earlier. The fact that my friend and that I was going completely blind appeared at the exhibition more than for me during the whole trip, knowing that I could know what would happen to me there. 😉
